We love these hippie vibes! #Seventies
project shot in Spain, visual effects in México, and editing in Denmark.
Danish songwriter and producer, Alexander Grandjean, is now releasing his first solo single, “Seventies”. He’s performing the song that he also wrote and produced.
After several years of writing for other artists in Stockholm, London, Amsterdam, and Copenhagen, Alexander Grandjean moved to Barcelona to focus on his own music:
“I started living as simple as I could to use all my energy on writing. I spent a couple of years there, only to write. I felt an urge to concentrate on writing greater songs. In that process, I discovered a desire to create my own platform – and to influence on the world.”
“Seventies” is a colorful summer pearl reflecting love and palm trees. Reminding us how the 1970’ies were – open-minded, creative and diverse. Alexander believes that the present world needs those values more than ever.
In a poetic and introvert way, “Seventies” describes the moment when a person is falling in love – so hard and so fast that he feels like dreaming:
“Sometimes,” Alexander explains, “you meet a person so different from your own culture that fascinates you so strongly that you can’t imagine it ever happened to anyone else. That’s what happened to me on a beach in Spain when I met a girl that looked like something taken straight out of the 1970’ies. That moment is what the song is about.”
Alexander Grandjean is 28-years and has written and produced pop, urban, and electronic music for artists like German-Nigerian Nneka, Dutch rapper Yes-R, and Danish artists like Freja Kirk, Leonora and Sisse Marie.
